Passport
- Original signed passport
- Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the visa expiry date
- Must contain at least 2 blank visa pages

Passport-Style Photo
- One recent color photo (2 x 2 inches) not older than 6 months
- With a light background, a clear view of the face, without dark glasses, or head coverings

Business Invitation
- Copy of a letter of invitation from a sponsoring company or organization in Russia, written in Russian language, or
- Decision to issue a visa from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs based on a Telex
Additional Requirements (If Applicable)

Non-U.S. Citizens
- A copy of legal status in the United States (Green Card or valid long-term visa)

EU Citizens
- Proof of valid international health insurance coverage

Former USSR Citizens. One of the following documents is required:
- USSR passport with proof of permanent departure before February 6, 1992
- Israeli visa issued before February 6, 1992
- Certificate of naturalization issued before 1996
- Proof of renunciation of Russian citizenship
- Passport from a former USSR country issued after February 1992

Children of Russian Citizens
Under Russian citizenship law, children born to two parents who are Russian citizens, automatically gain Russian citizenship, regardless of the place of birth
